On Saturday a Chicago ABC affiliate accidentally showed a graphic that read “P.F. Chang 2018: Show of Unity,” while discussing the Olympic Games, according to the Chicago Tribune .
If you expected BuzzFeed to do anything but make a huge joke out of it, you would be mistaken.
WLS-Ch. 7 anchor Mark Rivera was reporting on the politics of the Olympics when the graphics read “P.F Chang” instead of PyeongChang, where the Olympics are actually being held in South Korea.
Upon further review of the Tribune story, the graphic was initially used as a satirical piece the day before by sports anchor Mark Giangreco, but Rivera, the weekend anchor, accidentally used it as a serious news piece as well, according to spokesperson Jayme Nicholas.
So, naturally, the people took to Twitter, and they did not disappoint:
This just goes to show, in the classroom or the newsroom, always triple-check your work!
